PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Haarmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haarmann fails to land the takedown.

Haarmann moves in looking to clinch but Ruas pushes him off.
Haarmann throws a right hand that Ruas ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruas also avoids with ease.
Haarmann looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ruas is fending him off so far but Haarmann persists. Nope, Ruas circles away and we're back to standing.
Haarmann misses with a series of wild punches.
Haarmann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruas moves away.

Ruas scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Haarmann to see if he's OK.

Haarmann takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ruas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ruas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Haarmann down.

Ruas has hold of Haarmann 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Haarmann seems comfortable defending it but Ruas has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Haarmann is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Haarmann is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ruas couldn't care less - he's delighted!
