Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kory Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavle Milanovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Pavle Milanovic enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kory Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pavle Milanovic!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens tries to sprawl but Milanovic drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Stevens is trying is best to control the position here.

Milanovic wants to control but Stevens is keeping him busy.
Stevens wants to get back to his feet.

Milanovic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stevens sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Milanovic seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Milanovic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stevens's half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stevens wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Milanovic throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Milanovic looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stevens!
Stevens is not content to let Milanovic control the position.
Stevens wants to control but Milanovic postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevens avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Milanovic.
Stevens tries to bench press Milanovic off him but Milanovic keeps the position.
The strikes coming from Milanovic are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

An elbow from Milanovic crashes against the mat.
Milanovic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stevens is trying to control Milanovic's posture but Milanovic avoids it.

Stevens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Milanovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stevens keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Milanovic pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stevens went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Milanovic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stevens napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Milanovic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stevens is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Milanovic gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Stevens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stevens tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Milanovic easily slips into full mount!
Milanovic looking to ground and pound but Stevens is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Milanovic is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stevens has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stevens!
Stevens wants to control from the top but Milanovic keeps moving.

Milanovic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stevens defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevens drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stevens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Stevens wants to get up but he can't break Milanovic's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Stevens stands and steps away. Milanovic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Pavle Milanovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Milanovic forces Stevens back against the cage and clinches.
Stevens has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Milanovic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Milanovic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Milanovic lands in his opponent's guard.
Milanovic wanted to stand there but Stevens had control of the position.
Stevens is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Milanovic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Milanovic wants to pass the guard but Stevens is keeping the position.
Milanovic throws a strike but Stevens rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Milanovic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stevens stands up and waves to Milanovic to follow him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Milanovic. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Stevens parries the strikes from Milanovic easily there. Milanovic is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stevens to escape.

Milanovic works to advance to full mount. Stevens defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Milanovic manages to capitalize on a mistake by Stevens to take his back!
Stevens is trying to get back to his feet but Milanovic has full control of the position and if anything, Stevens has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Stevens is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Milanovic gets his way!
Even with his hooks in, Milanovic manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Milanovic gets his hands free as Stevens looks to control.
Stevens is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Milanovic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well Milanovic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
