Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Biggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper comes to the cage accompanied by Candlefuse-fighter . Jethro Biggs has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rick Ripper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jethro Biggs!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper lands with an overhand left.
Ripper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Biggs.
Biggs tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Ripper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Biggs is trying to keep Ripper in close.
Ripper stays in close to Biggs's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ripper chips away with some ground and pound.
Biggs is pulling down on Ripper's head. It's preventing any offense from Ripper, at least for the moment.
Ripper looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Biggs wants to clinch but Ripper slips to the side
and Ripper counters with a nice uppercut.

Ripper moves into the clinch successfully.

Biggs is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Ripper prevents Biggs from breaking the clinch.

Biggs tries for a takedown. No joy.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ripper.
Biggs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ripper smiles and moves away.
Biggs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ripper pinned against the cage. Ripper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rick Ripper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jethro Biggs.
A jab from Ripper finds it's way through Biggs's defenses.

Biggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ripper's waist but Ripper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biggs off to one side.

Ripper scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Biggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ripper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ripper lands a nice short elbow.
Ripper winds up and cracks Biggs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ripper is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Still in half guard, Ripper seems content to control.
Ripper's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ripper moves into full mount! Biggs won't be happy about that!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Biggs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ripper.
Biggs tries a quick counter leg kick but Ripper is wise to it.
Ripper throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ripper blocks the body kick.
Biggs tries for a takedown but Ripper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ripper is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ripper sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Biggs's guard.
Well, if Ripper is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ripper frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ripper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Biggs keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Biggs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Further stalling from Ripper.
Ripper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Ripper is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Ripper is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Biggs is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Biggs flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ripper anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Biggs and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ripper slips an arm under Biggs chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ripper has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ripper is squeezing on Biggs like an anaconda would it's prey. Biggs fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rick Ripper!
Jethro Biggs spoke after the fight, saying 'Well, My first fight didn't go so well and I see I have some more work to do. There is a big learning curve here....Not at all what I expected, but I am humbled by the experience. With that being said, I'm looking forward to the next fight.'.
