PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Moldoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoshi Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moldoon comes to the cage accompanied by Heaven Nor Hell. Satoshi Ishii is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moldoon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ishii is defended easily by Moldoon.
Moldoon connects with a crisp jab.

Moldoon forces Ishii back against the cage and clinches.

Moldoon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Moldoon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ishii is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Ishii has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ishii is looking to take this one to the mat.
Ishii tries for a takedown but Moldoon manages to get underhooks.
Chuck Moldoon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satoshi Ishii.
Moldoon wants to get back to striking at distance but Ishii won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moldoon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Moldoon sets himself, and Ishii steps forward looking for the clinch! Moldoon avoids it this time.

Moldoon throws a body punch but Ishii moves out of range.

Ishii fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moldoon, pushing him back against the cage.

Moldoon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Moldoon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Moldoon seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Moldoon misses with a straight left.
Satoshi Ishii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moldoon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ishii throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moldoon's waist but Moldoon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ishii off to one side.

Ishii moves into the clinch.

Moldoon manages to break the clinch.
Ishii tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moldoon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moldoon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ishii takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Moldoon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ishii goes for a takedown attempt but Moldoon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Moldoon misses with a two punch combination.
Ishii shoots in looking for a takedown. Moldoon tries to sprawl out of it but Ishii keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moldoon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ishii changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moldoon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Moldoon is looking for a sweep.
Moldoon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ishii on the ground.
Ishii works to advance to full mount. Moldoon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Moldoon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moldoon tries to get out of the position.
Moldoon is in all sorts of trouble here.

Ishii has control of Moldoon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Moldoon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moldoon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Moldoon wants to hold on but Ishii pushes him away.
Ishii moves to take his opponent's back.

Ishii sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Moldoon taps out!

Satoshi Ishii gave a mention to Invictus Laundry in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
