Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mobile Average!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elvin Mays!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Average changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mays tries to avoid it but Average manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mays to the ground. Mays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Mays misses.
Mays loads up on a big right hand but Average slips the punch.
Average defending well as Mays loads up on a big left hand.
Average goes for a double leg but Mays avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mays continues to drive forward.
Mays is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Average drops back looking for a leg! Mays is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mays manages to kick Average off! Average jumps back into Mays's guard.

Average postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mays is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Average, into his guard.

Average wants to control but Mays is keeping busy.
Mays is taking a breather. Average says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Elvin Mays is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Mays has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mobile Average has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Mays.

Well Mays has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
