The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sichev is defended easily by Jones.
Sichev shoots in but no luck this time.

Sichev moves into the clinch.

Jones has Sichev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sichev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sichev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sichev ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sichev no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sichev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sichev throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Sichev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sichev wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
