The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane moves out of range as Howard strikes.
Kane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kane defending well as Howard loads up on a big left hand.
Kane feints the counter takedown.
Kane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Howard.
Kane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Howard.
A little feinted left hand from Howard on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Howard connects with an inside leg kick.
Howard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kane tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Howard misses the jab.
Kane feints the counter takedown.
Howard throws a body punch but Kane moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A looping hook to the body misses from Howard. Kane does a little dance to reset his feet.
And Kane tries to counter it with a takedown but Howard pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Harold Howard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Howard throws a hook but Kane avoids it easily.
Kane drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Howard defends it well.

and Howard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Howard scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Howard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kane.
Kane is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Kane drops his hands momentarily and Howard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A slow jab from Howard misses its intended target.
Kane feints the counter takedown.

Howard lands a big head kick that sends Kane tumbling to the mat! Howard takes a step backwards and waves Kane back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Howard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kane tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Howard drops Kane with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kane looks back up at him and smiles so Howard waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kane uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Howard.
Kane feints the counter takedown.
We've been told by Howard's head coaches at Riddum Elite that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Howard throws a nice outside leg kick.

Howard lands a big uppercut and Kane crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kane looks OK. Howard waves Kane back to his feet!

Kane is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Howard knocks Kane out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
