Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rice Aroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludko Struja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ludko Struja has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ludko Struja!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Struja tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Aroni manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Aroni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Struja.
Struja throws a jab but it's blocked by Aroni.
Struja takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Aroni missing with a left hand there. Struja was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Struja drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Aroni defends it well.
Struja will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Aroni connects with a right hand. Struja shakes it off.
Struja fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Struja misses with an uppercut. Aroni saw that one coming.
Aroni was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Struja's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Aroni connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Struja scrambles back to his feet.
Struja has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Struja fails to land the takedown.
Rice Aroni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludko Struja.
Aroni cracks Struja with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Aroni darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ludko Struja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aroni clobbers Struja with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Struja takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A big right from Aroni misses.
Rice Aroni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Struja feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Aroni on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aroni tries to get out of the position.
Struja throws a big right hand that misses.
Struja wants to control from the top but Aroni keeps moving.
Struja with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Aroni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Struja on the ground.
Struja postures up in Aroni's guard and throws a big left but Aroni blocks it.
Struja postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Struja sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aroni's guard.
Aroni is not content to let Struja control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aroni won't allow Struja to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Struja seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Struja thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aroni's head.
Struja throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Struja prevents Aroni from improving his position.

Struja working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Struja thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Struja works his way into side control.

Struja lands a few punches from side control.
Struja working the head with strikes.
Struja lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aroni down.

Aroni is rocked!
A big shot lands for Struja! That's hurt Aroni! Will he recover? Struja fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
