Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bane Quincy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Brophy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bane Quincy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quincy moves into range and clinches up with Brophy.
A head punch on the inside from Quincy fails to land.
Quincy tries to stall but Brophy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Brophy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Brophy pushes Quincy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Brophy manages to break the clinch.
Brophy plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Quincy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brophy throws a quick counter head kick but Quincy was just out of range.

Brophy clinches up with Quincy and pushes him back against the cage.
Brophy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Quincy digs a right hand underneath Brophy's ribcage. Brophy let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Quincy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brophy walks away with a smile on his face. Quincy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brophy lands a nice shot that snaps Quincy's head back.


It looks like Bane Quincy has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quincy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Brophy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Quincy struggles to land a body shot inside as Brophy controls his hands.
Brophy blocks an elbow strike.
Quincy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brophy to keep the fight standing.
Brophy lands a nice uppercut.

Brophy is pushing Quincy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Quincy pulls guard successfully.
Brophy trying to control but Quincy is working from the bottom.
Quincy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Brophy wants to control from the top but Quincy keeps moving.

Quincy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brophy passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Brophy tries for a kimura but Quincy is defending well.
Quincy tries to improve position but can't.
Brophy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quincy keeps working.
Quincy is trying to get back to half guard.
Quincy is not content to let Brophy control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quincy is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Brophy is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Brophy tries to control but Quincy wriggling away.
Brophy wants to stand but Quincy is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Quincy is squirming around, avoiding Brophy's attempts to control the action.
Brophy throwing strikes here but Quincy is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Brophy has control of Quincy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Quincy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brophy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Quincy wants to control but Brophy is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quincy is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Brophy dominated that round.

Brophy lands a big head kick that sends Quincy tumbling to the mat! Brophy takes a step backwards and waves Quincy back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Quincy misses with some punches.
Quincy trying to control the position but instead, Brophy has worked for underhooks and has pushed Quincy into the cage.
Quincy lands an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Brophy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brophy is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Brophy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Brophy lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Brophy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


Quincy is rocked!

Quincy is still on wobbly legs! Can Brophy finish him?

Brophy lands a big head kick that sends Quincy tumbling to the mat! Brophy takes a step backwards and waves Quincy back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick by Brophy - that's a beauty! Quincy is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Brophy can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Brophy!
After the fight, John Brophy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
