PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Charlie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Thork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charlie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Thork looks for a takedown but Charlie sprawls well.
Thork looks to score with a jab to the body but Charlie is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Charlie misses the target.
Thork misses with a hook. Charlie ducked under it nicely.
Thork shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Charlie pinned against the cage. Charlie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Charlie tries to counter with a takedown but Thork is quick to defend against it.
Thork just misses with a punch to the body.

Charlie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thork did well to prevent Charlie getting side control.
Charlie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Charlie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Thork misses with an uppercut. Charlie saw that one coming.
Thork will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Charlie stalks Thork and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thork's face. Thork staggers backwards, shaken.

Charlie throws a hook to the side of Thork's head but Thork sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Crazy Charlie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Thork has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Charlie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Thork working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Charlie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Charlie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thork looking for a sweep. Not yet Thork, not yet.
Thork lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Charlie looking to control.
Thork is fighting to break Charlie 's control of his arms but Charlie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Thork stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charlie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Charlie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Thork stacks Charlie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Thork!

Thork swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Charlie is now in Thork's guard. A big mistake from Thork there, giving up the dominant position!

That was a close second round but I would say that Crazy Charlie will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Charlie is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Thork still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Thork has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Charlie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thork on the ground.

Thork has control of Charlie 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Charlie regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Thork moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Charlie has worked his arm free - good work by Charlie !

Thork wants to lay and pray for a moment but Charlie keeps working.
Charlie is looking to reverse the position.

Charlie stops Thork from passing to mount.

Thork has his feet on Charlie 's thighs here. He's pushed Charlie off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Charlie screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
