Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Mosley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Pretoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Mosley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ken Pretoka!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pretoka fails with a takedown attempt.

Pretoka tries to keep at a distance but Mosley has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mosley tightens his grip and picks Pretoka up, before dumping him to the ground. Pretoka manages to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mosley throwing strikes but missing.
Mosley is in close to Pretoka's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Pretoka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mosley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mosley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pretoka wants to get back to his feet but Mosley is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mosley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mosley postures up and lands a big shot to Pretoka's brow.
Pretoka pulls Mosley in close to prevent any damage.
Mosley scoring with punches to the head and body.
Mosley working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Pretoka throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mosley uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mosley tries for a kimura but Pretoka is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mosley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pretoka, who protects the arm well.

Mosley goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pretoka rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mosley's guard! Nice work there by Pretoka!

Pretoka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mosley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pretoka has managed to get both his arms back between Mosley's legs - danger averted.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mosley keeping moving, preventing Pretoka from controlling successfully.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mosley slaps away a takedown attempt from Pretoka, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pretoka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mosley.
Pretoka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mosley attempts a counter takedown but Pretoka avoids it well and moves away.
Mosley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mosley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pretoka's guard.
Mosley wanted to stand there but Pretoka had control of the position.
Mosley is looking to work some ground and pound but Pretoka has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pretoka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mosley is one step ahead there.
Mosley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pretoka can do to turn this around?

Pretoka throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mosley escapes and throws Pretoka's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Pretoka is looking for a sweep.
Mosley cracks Pretoka with a big right hand but Pretoka just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Mosley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pretoka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pretoka tries to buck Mosley off but Mosley is having none of it.

Mosley goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pretoka has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mosley but great work by Pretoka.
Pretoka sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mosley is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ground and pound from Pretoka seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Pretoka looking to control but instead Mosley has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Pretoka decides to stand and escape the position.

Pretoka rushes Mosley and presses him up against the cage.
Mosley fails to pull guard.

Pretoka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pretoka shoots in for a takedown but Mosley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mosley tries to counter with a takedown but Pretoka is quick to defend against it.
Pretoka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mosley half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ken Pretoka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pretoka is breathing heavily.

so Mosley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Paul Mosley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Pretoka.

Mosley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pretoka avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pretoka wants to improve his position but instead Mosley has moved into half guard.
Pretoka is trying to control but can't.

Mosley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pretoka has closed the distance and engaged Mosley in a clinch.

Pretoka gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Mosley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Pretoka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mosley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mosley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mosley!

Pretoka tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mosley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mosley tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pretoka is looking for a sweep.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pretoka wants to control but Mosley postures up.

Mosley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mosley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pretoka is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pretoka tries to improve position but can't.
Pretoka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mosley is trying to get an arm triangle but Pretoka is defending well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pretoka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mosley's waist but Mosley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pretoka off to one side.
Mosley tries to clinch up but Pretoka circles away and keeps his distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pretoka looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Mosley.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mosley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
