Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charley Goodwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Lenco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwin tries to clinch but Lenco moves out of range.
Johnny Lenco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goodwin.
Goodwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lenco circles away.
Goodwin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lenco's waist but Lenco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goodwin off to one side.

Lenco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Goodwin shoots in looking for a takedown but Lenco manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Goodwin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lenco or perhaps it was just good defense by Goodwin, which made it look bad.

Goodwin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charley Goodwin.
I think Lenco has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
