Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between boots diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Baun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baun has chosen 50 Mission Cap - Tragically Hip as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
diaz lands a high kick!

It looks like Bob Baun has been cut.
diaz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Some wild striking there from diaz.

Baun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baun showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
diaz is trying to get back to full guard.
diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baun on the ground.

Baun is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so diaz is just riding it out for now. Baun eventually gives up the hold.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baun is trying to control the action in half guard but diaz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Baun working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Baun is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
diaz is looking to improve his position.

Baun is tying to control. diaz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Baun is working for a kimura but diaz is defending it quite comfortably.

Baun blocks the strikes from diaz.

Baun is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! diaz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
