Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Assuncao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cobalt Khalil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khalil has chosen The Hives - Walk Idiot Walk as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assuncao lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Assuncao.
It looks like Cobalt Khalil has been cut.
Khalil throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Assuncao's waist but Assuncao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khalil off to one side.
Assuncao misses with a left hand
and Khalil counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Khalil trying to control the action but Assuncao is working from the bottom.
Khalil lands an elbow.
Assuncao gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Assuncao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Khalil avoids the attempt from Assuncao to control.
Khalil has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khalil jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Assuncao manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Khalil lands a few punches from side control.
Assuncao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khalil on the ground.
Assuncao is trying to control Khalil's posture but Khalil avoids it.
Khalil postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Assuncao tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Assuncao is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Khalil is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Khalil lands a big elbow.
Assuncao prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Assuncao tries to hold on but Khalil postures up.
Khalil is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Assuncao can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Assuncao is looking to improve his position but Khalil isn't that keen on the idea.
Khalil lands a nice shot to the head.

Khalil lands a big shot there that rocks Assuncao but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Assuncao is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khalil lands a big shot to the head and Assuncao winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
