The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sprinkles fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nasimentu on the side of the head.
Sprinkles circles away from the clinch attempt
and Sprinkles counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Valentin Nasimentu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sprinkles shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nasimentu is trying to defend but Sprinkles finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sprinkles lands strikes from half guard.

Nasimentu has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Sprinkles escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Sprinkles!
Nasimentu takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Sprinkles lands a nice forearm strike.

Sprinkles tries to advance to mount but Nasimentu denies him.
Sprinkles lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nasimentu down.

Nasimentu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The cut above Valentin Nasimentu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nasimentu can't do much from the bottom here.
Sprinkles trying to control the position but Nasimentu is working away.
