The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berisha has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sagat's face.
Sagat tries to buck Berisha off but he can't manage it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sagat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sagat feints and then cracks Berisha's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Berisha down.

Berisha is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
