The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Munch rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Munch as he avoids it easily.

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into Munch's guard.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Munch looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Munch looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Munch!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Munch wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Johnson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Munch lands a nice short elbow.

Munch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
