Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joan Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Favorite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Favorite has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joan Wells's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Joan Wells!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Favorite!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Favorite or perhaps it was just good defense by Wells, which made it look bad.
Wells stuffs the takedown attempt from Favorite. Favorite gets slowly back to his feet.

Favorite closes the distance and clinches.
Favorite landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Favorite is struggling to control the position.
Wells tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Favorite smiles and moves away.

Favorite closes the distance and pushes Wells back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Favorite turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Favorite manages to end up in side control.
Wells tries to buck Favorite off but Favorite is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wells striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wells taking punishment in the form of punches.

Favorite is trying to get an arm triangle but Wells is defending well.
Favorite avoids the strikes from the bottom by Wells.
Wells is trying to get back to half guard.
Wells has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wells sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Favorite throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wells makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wells.
Favorite keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wells's head.
Favorite throwing strikes but missing.
Favorite trying to control but Wells is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Favorite landing some decent shots from guard.
Favorite must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wells scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wells on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Favorite. Favorite obviously looking to wear him down.
Wells takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wells shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Favorite sprawls well. Favorite wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wells gets slowly back to his feet.
Favorite changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wells tries to avoid it but Favorite manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wells to the ground. Wells escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Joan Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Favorite.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Favorite shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Favorite was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wells is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Favorite is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Favorite fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Wells manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wells wants to control but Favorite is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wells manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wells trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Favorite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wells. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Favorite throwing strikes but missing.
Favorite wants to get up but he can't break Wells's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wells throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Favorite trying to control but Wells is working from the bottom.
Favorite scoring with some ground and pound.
Wells has a closed guard, preventing Favorite from standing up.
Favorite postures up in Wells's guard and throws a big left but Wells blocks it.

Wells has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Favorite is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Wells jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Favorite walks away with a smile on his face. Wells gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A head kick misses from Favorite.
Favorite misses with a head kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wells enables Favorite to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wells manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wells is breathing heavily.
Favorite throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Favorite with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Favorite dominated that round.
That's time! Wells's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A head kick misses from Wells.
Favorite lands a brutal head kick. Wells looks out on his feet and Favorite throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Greg Favorite!
A very excited looking Greg Favorite made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
