Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harvey Welldone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Pena holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Welldone is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pena gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Welldone is trying to drag Pena to the mat but Pena just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Welldone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pena gets to his feet. Welldone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Welldone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pena has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Welldone is on him like a limpet, forcing Pena back against the cage.

Pena pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Welldone tries for a takedown but Pena sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Welldone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pena tries to avoid it but Welldone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pena to the ground. Pena escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Welldone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pena looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
