Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kostas Papantoniou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papantoniou comes to the ring accompanied by Phobophobia. Raul Mendez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Papantoniou fails to land the takedown.
Mendez throws a fast counter high kick but Papantoniou manages to duck under it in time.
Papantoniou displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mendez.

Papantoniou is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mendez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mendez's back!

Mendez is looking to stand up but Papantoniou won't let him.

That was a close round but I would say that Kostas Papantoniou will probably get the nod.

Mendez goes for a double leg but Papantoniou avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Papantoniou continues to drive forward.

Mendez has control of Papantoniou's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Papantoniou regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Papantoniou is desperately trying to improve his position but Mendez has a good base and remains in mount.
Mendez has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Papantoniou is forced to tap!

Raul Mendez took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
Kostas Papantoniou was interviewed post fight and said 'This fight is not lost for me but,i won experience and i continue stronger for the victory!'.
