Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wade Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Schmierer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's entrance music is "Not Falling" by Mudvayne. A fine choice. Schmierer has chosen Volcano, by Dethklok as his entrance music. Wade Anderson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmierer lands a nice looking body kick.
Anderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Anderson closes the distance but Schmierer moves to the side
and Schmierer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Schmierer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Schmierer lands a nice shot that snaps Anderson's head back.
Schmierer jabs Anderson to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Schmierer connects with a right hand. Anderson shakes it off.
Schmierer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schmierer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Schmierer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Schmierer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Schmierer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schmierer wants it to stay on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schmierer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Schmierer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A left lands for Schmierer.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Schmierer - that will leave a mark!
Schmierer dips to his left and cracks Anderson with an uppercut!

Anderson is rocked!
Schmierer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schmierer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Anderson. Anderson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Schmierer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye.
Anderson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Wade Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schmierer lands a jab to the head.
Schmierer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Anderson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Anderson dodges the punch combination from Schmierer.
Schmierer scores with a decent looking hook.
Anderson closes the distance and clinches up with Schmierer, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes Schmierer against the cage but Schmierer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wade Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Schmierer lands with a right hand.
Schmierer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Anderson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Schmierer cracks Anderson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Anderson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Schmierer pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Anderson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Schmierer!
A relieved looking Adam Schmierer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
