Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casper Vanderhose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jovan Vladimir!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladimir is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vanderhose sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Vanderhose wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vladimir shoots for a takedown but Vanderhose saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vladimir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vanderhose sprawls well. Vanderhose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vladimir gets slowly back to his feet.
Casper Vanderhose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jovan Vladimir.

Vanderhose wants to control from the top but Vladimir keeps moving.
Vladimir not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Vanderhose has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Vladimir's lack of action.
Vladimir thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vanderhose's head.
Vladimir is looking to advance position but Vanderhose won't allow it.
Vladimir wants to take a breather but Vanderhose is having none of it.
Vanderhose looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vladimir is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vanderhose doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vladimir.
Vladimir winds up and cracks Vanderhose with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vladimir wants to free his trapped foot but Vanderhose is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Vladimir seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vladimir looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vanderhose throws a head kick but Vladimir moves out of range.

Casper Vanderhose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vladimir wants to counter the offense by Vanderhose and move into the clinch position.

Vanderhose throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Vanderhose stuffs the takedown attempt from Vladimir. Vladimir gets slowly back to his feet.

Vladimir shoots in looking for a takedown. Vanderhose tries to sprawl out of it but Vladimir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vanderhose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Vladimir counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Vanderhose!
Vanderhose pushes Vladimir away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vladimir gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Vladimir is looking to take a break and control but Vanderhose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vladimir is trying to move to mount but Vanderhose reverses beautifully and ends up in Vladimir's guard.

Jovan Vladimir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Vladimir goes for a double leg but Vanderhose avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vanderhose continues to drive forward.

Vladimir stuns Vanderhose with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

A little feinted left hand from Vanderhose on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Vladimir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vanderhose pinned against the cage. Vanderhose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vladimir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Vanderhose lands with a kick to the temple. Vladimir shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Vanderhose does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Vladimir drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vanderhose manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vladimir has Vanderhose in his guard.

Vanderhose is standing up over Vladimir. Vladimir looks to escape but Vanderhose dives into side control.

Vladimir manages to get back to half guard.
Vladimir is looking for a sweep. Vanderhose is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jovan Vladimir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Vladimir has a hand on Vanderhose's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Vanderhose takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Vanderhose wants to control the pace but Vladimir is squirming around nicely.
Vladimir tries to reverse the position but Vanderhose maintains control.
Vladimir wants to control but Vanderhose is having none of it.
Casper Vanderhose has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Vanderhose is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vladimir has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vladimir is desperately trying to improve his position but Vanderhose has a good base and remains in mount.
Vladimir manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Vanderhose looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
