Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cousteau comes to the cage accompanied by 20000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Monster Attacks . This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Cousteau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vinnie Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones is trying to drag Cousteau to the mat but Cousteau just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jones tightens his grip and picks Cousteau up, before dumping him to the ground. Cousteau manages to land in guard.

Jones throws a strike but Cousteau rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cousteau's guard.


Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jones working his ground and pound in the gym.

Cousteau working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vinnie Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cousteau sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vinnie Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
