And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeda Shingen!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Smith.
Shingen closes the distance looking to clinch
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shingen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shingen throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shingen thinking.
Shingen with a lazy takedown attempt
and Smith counters with a nice body shot.
Shingen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shingen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Shingen persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.
A quick step to the side and Smith tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Shingen.
Smith throws a big counter combination but Shingen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Shingen moves to clinch but Smith breaks away
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Shingen looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Smith drops Shingen with a beautiful combination! Shingen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Smith is looking for the KO!

Shingen is rocked!
Smith drops Shingen with a straight right hand, right on the button! Smith follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
