Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trey Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walsh misses with a series of wild punches.
Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Young throws a sloppy head kick

and Walsh counters by moving into the clinch.
Young is trying to force a seperation but Walsh has the dominant position.
Young tries to pull guard but Walsh holds him up against the cage and eventually Young drops back down to his feet.
Walsh wants a takedown.
Young is trying to pull guard but Walsh turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Walsh told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Young is trying to force a seperation but Walsh has the dominant position.

Young got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walsh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Young has managed to get both his arms back between Walsh's legs - danger averted.
Young tries to free his leg and advance position but Walsh is retaining full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Young is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Walsh asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Young tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Walsh is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Young is surviving well by controlling Walsh's body position as best he can.

Young is in all sorts of trouble here.

Young moves in looking to clinch but Walsh pushes him off.
Walsh tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Walsh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Young fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Alex Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Young throws a right and a left that Walsh avoids nicely.

Walsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Young sprawls well initially but Walsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walsh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Young sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young is staying active underneath Walsh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Young is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Walsh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Young has managed to free his arm - good work.
Walsh slows the pace down in half guard.
Walsh wants to pass to mount but Young is defending the position.
Young slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Young is refusing to be controlled, as Walsh sits in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walsh is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Walsh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Young does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Walsh shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Walsh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walsh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Young.

Walsh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Young pulls his leg out and moves away.
Young lets loose with a powerful body kick. Walsh will feel that in the morning.

Trey Walsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Young rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walsh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Walsh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Young knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Young pushes Walsh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Walsh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Walsh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Walsh remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Walsh thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Trey Walsh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Walsh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
