Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashid Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramsey Rodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magomedov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Magomedov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Magomedov moves in looking to clinch but Rodman pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rodman is on top in guard.

Rodman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rodman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Rodman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Magomedov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magomedov tries to get out of the position.

Rodman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Magomedov!

Rodman has hold of Magomedov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Magomedov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
BOOM! Rodman connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Magomedov is breathing heavily.
A nice elbow there by Rodman.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rodman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Rodman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rodman breaks from Magomedov's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Magomedov is rocked!
Rodman landing strikes, looking to finish!
Oh Magomedov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Magomedov seems to have got his legs back now.
It looks like Rodman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Rodman lands a big shot there that rocks Magomedov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Rashid Magomedov has been cut.
Rodman cracks Magomedov with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
