The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray fails with the takedown
and Wegorz counters with a nice body shot.

Murray working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wegorz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wegorz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wegorz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wegorz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Murray doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Murray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wegorz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wegorz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Murray dives in for a single leg takedown but Wegorz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Murray fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Earnest Murray. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wegorz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Murray throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Murray tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wegorz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Murray somewhat.
Nice takedown defense from Wegorz. No joy for Murray on that attempt.

Murray doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Wegorz counter with a right hand.
Murray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wegorz tries to avoid it but Murray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wegorz to the ground. Wegorz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wegorz unleashes a big counter combination but Murray bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Wegorz lands with a nice combination. Murray backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Earnest Murray has been cut.
Murray is breathing heavily.
Wegorz tries to bum rush Murray with a series of wild strikes but Murray uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Murray takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wegorz connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Murray! He's out on his feet! Wegorz rushes in and drops Murray with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
