Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson comes to the cage accompanied by m.A.A.d city. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dawson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dawson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dawson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dawson is controlling the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ferguson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dawson pulls his head out easily.
Dawson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dawson in particular looking to stall.
Dawson is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ferguson reverses the position - he's now on top in Dawson's guard.

Ferguson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dawson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dawson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dawson!

Ferguson tries to buck Dawson off but Dawson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dawson prevents Ferguson from getting the reversal.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dawson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ferguson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dawson pinned against the cage. Dawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dawson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ferguson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dawson is aware though and is defending well.
Dawson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dawson is looking to advance position but Ferguson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Ferguson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dawson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Ferguson! Submission of the night perhaps?
