Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cowl Hefernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stirling Sanguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hefernon doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanguin circles away.

Sanguin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hefernon to get to his feet.

Sanguin forces Hefernon back against the cage and clinches.
Hefernon keeps control of Sanguin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sanguin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Sanguin lands a couple of elbows.

Hefernon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sanguin drops back looking for a leg! Hefernon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hefernon manages to kick Sanguin off! Sanguin jumps back into Hefernon's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sanguin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hefernon is trying to keep Sanguin in close.
Sanguin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hefernon's head.
Sanguin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sanguin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hefernon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hefernon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sanguin stands up over Hefernon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sanguin lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sanguin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hefernon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hefernon is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sanguin has his hands clasped together but Hefernon extends and breaks Sanguin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hefernon.
