Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oko Poli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Horton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Horton!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton misses with a double jab.
Poli showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Horton.
Poli takes a jab right on the kisser.
Horton has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Poli is landing a low percentage of strikes.
No joy there for Horton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Poli fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Horton sprawls well initially but Poli persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Horton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Poli pulls his head out easily.

Poli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Horton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Poli.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horton tries to roll over but Poli keeps him under control.
Poli wants to free his trapped foot but Horton is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Poli is looking for a kimura but Horton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Poli to get the leverage.
We've been hearing good reports from Poli's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Poli in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Horton tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Poli!
