Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denis Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cohan Bryers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bryers darts in looking for a takedown but Stevenson gets double underhooks and turns Bryers into the cage.

Stevenson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bryers's guard.

Stevenson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stevenson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bryers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bryers working for a triangle but Stevenson defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevenson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bryers swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bryers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bryers can't keep his opponent in guard - Stevenson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Stevenson wants to free his trapped foot but Bryers is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Bryers looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Stevenson is looking to advance position but Bryers won't allow it.

Bryers has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Stevenson escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Stevenson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevenson tries to score with some ground and pound. Bryers controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Bryers tries to improve his position but Stevenson has taken his back! Stevenson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bryers tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Stevenson pushes Bryers away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
