The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. McMurray sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown but McMurray manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smith's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and McMurray counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McMurray.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McMurray unloads a knee to the mid-section.
McMurray makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
McMurray scores with a nice hook to the head.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McMurray just stands there and leans against the cage.

Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McMurray will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Smith up against the cage.
Smith is trapped in a tight thai clinch here. McMurray pulls him left and then right before unleashing a vicious knee to the head. Oh damn - Smith is out cold! That's some serious business! What a knockout!
