The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ju closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Shaffer is trying is best to control the position here.
ju trying to control from Shaffer's half guard. Shaffer has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ju has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shaffer to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! ju is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shaffer pulls down on the head and he's put ju to sleep! This one is all over!
