Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broad gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Broad has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.
Williams is looking to stand up but Broad won't let him.
Williams wants to control from the top but Broad keeps moving.
Broad is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williams defends well.
Williams throws a strike but Broad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Broad postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Broad is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Broad is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Williams as he works his way to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Broad postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Broad, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Broad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Williams advances to half guard.
Broad is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Williams seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Broad is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
