Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Deverux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deverux is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Money.
Deverux throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Steve Deverux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Deverux throws an overhand right that lands on Money's shoulder, as Money tries to avoid the shot.

Deverux throws out a loose jab but Money uses good head movement to avoid it.

Money is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Deverux tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Deverux takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Deverux cracks Money with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Deverux has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Money to stand back up!

Steve Deverux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deverux throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Money tumbling to the canvas!
Deverux wants to get up but he can't break Money's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Money shoots in for a double leg but Deverux sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
