The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivera's waist but Rivera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing William off to one side.
William drives through with a takedown into Rivera's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
William wants to control from the top but Rivera keeps moving.
William has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rivera is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

William is trying to move to mount but Rivera reverses beautifully and ends up in William's guard.
William has Rivera pulled in close to control his posture.

William changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rivera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Rivera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rivera sneaks out the side door and pushes William away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

William is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rivera with a body shot.

William unleashes a big counter combination but Rivera bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Rivera ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rivera no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Rivera is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that William can do to turn this around?
