Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge Ulrich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Meade!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meade misses with a double jab.
Ulrich throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Meade tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ulrich is in Meade's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ulrich prevents Meade from getting back to his feet.
Meade is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ulrich stays in close to Meade's body and controls the position.
Ulrich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Meade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ulrich, into his guard.
Ulrich definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meade is looking to stand up but Ulrich won't let him.

Ulrich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meade doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meade manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Meade wants to work for an arm triangle but Ulrich is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ulrich has his foot on Meade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Meade works his way back into a safe position though.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Meade tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ulrich was well out of range. Poor timing from Meade.
Meade lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ulrich takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ulrich tries to score a power double leg takedown but Meade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ulrich somewhat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Meade! But no joy.
Meade throws a series of punches but Ulrich avoids them all with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Meade. Ulrich does a little dance to reset his feet.
Meade lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Meade.
Meade throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ulrich.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meade fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ulrich fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Meade to the ground. Ulrich is now in Meade's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Meade throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ulrich counters by clinching up.
Ulrich ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ulrich no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ulrich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Meade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ulrich is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Meade has his hands clasped together but Ulrich extends and breaks Meade's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ulrich.
