The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Patterson dives in and grabs Kozlov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kozlov pushes down on Patterson's head and hops out.
Kozlov throws a looping overhand right but Patterson ducks down to avoid it.
A slow jab from Kozlov misses its intended target.

As Kozlov backs off Patterson throws a huge counter combo but Kozlov manages to avoid it all.
Patterson misses with a few strikes there.
Kozlov tries to clinch but Patterson is having none of it.
Patterson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
A jab from Kozlov does it's job there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Derek Patterson has been cut.
Kozlov misses the body punch
enabling Patterson to counter with a crisp jab.

Kozlov moves into the clinch.

Kozlov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kozlov thows a left - swing and a miss!
And Patterson tries to counter it with a takedown but Kozlov pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Kozlov throws a leg kick but Patterson checks it.
Kozlov throws an overhand right that lands on Patterson's shoulder, as Patterson tries to avoid the shot.
Patterson moves forwards but Kozlov connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Patterson is rocked!
Kozlov weaves into range and cracks Patterson right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Patterson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kozlov is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
