Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tel Britton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Knope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Knope has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Knope throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Britton was covering up waiting for the punch and Knope finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Britton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Knope seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knope looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Britton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Britton lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Knope closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Britton cracks a nice hook into Knope's ribs.

and Britton rattles Knope with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Knope tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Britton dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Knope stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tel Britton!
Tel Britton bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
