The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark shoots in but no luck this time.
Conti shoots in looking for a takedown but Clark manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Conti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Conti has his takedown stuffed
and Clark counters with a two punch combo.

Conti scores with a takedown into Clark's guard.
Conti's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clark striking off his back but it's not causing Conti any problems.
Conti controls from within his opponent's guard.
Conti won't allow Clark to sweep him here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Clark tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conti defends well and Clark ends up having to push Conti into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Conti changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clark looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Clark tries to bench press Conti off him but Conti keeps the position.

Conti is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Clark is trying to escape and Conti transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Clark is forced to tap! Nice work there by Conti! Very nice indeed!
