Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe De La Rosa!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Rosa shoots in looking for a takedown. Barker tries to sprawl out of it but De La Rosa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
De La Rosa tries for a takedown but Barker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
De La Rosa shoots in but Barker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bob Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe De La Rosa.
Barker jabs at De La Rosa's body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Barker.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De La Rosa is looking to reverse the position.
Barker working away.
De La Rosa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
De La Rosa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Barker off and has taken his back!

Barker defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of De La Rosa's arms.
Barker turns into De La Rosa and is now in his guard.
Barker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

De La Rosa keeping moving, preventing Barker from controlling successfully.
Barker cracks De La Rosa with a solid left hand.
Barker throwing strikes from guard but De La Rosa blocks nicely.
De La Rosa tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barker throws a big right hand that misses.

De La Rosa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Barker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
De La Rosa looks gassed!

De La Rosa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Barker is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. De La Rosa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Barker's back instead.
Barker manages to reverse the position and now he's in De La Rosa's guard. Nice work there by Barker.
De La Rosa is trying to keep Barker in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barker wants to control from the top but De La Rosa keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Barker scores with a head kick.
A shot to de liver by Barker. Beautiful body shot.
A head kick from Barker lands but De La Rosa takes it in his stride.


It looks like Joe De La Rosa has been cut.
De La Rosa tries for a takedown but Barker circles away easily

and Barker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Barker passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Barker looks up at the clock and then as De La Rosa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Barker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Barker lands some shots froms side control.
Barker works to advance to full mount. De La Rosa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barker connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
De La Rosa tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Barker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, De La Rosa has managed to escape the submission attempt.
De La Rosa is squirming around, avoiding Barker's attempts to control the action.
Barker lands a big shot there that rocks De La Rosa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

De La Rosa tries to lock up and control but Barker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Barker lands a heavy elbow.


That has opened up Joe De La Rosa's cut even more.
De La Rosa tries to hold on but Barker pushes him away.
De La Rosa is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barker breaks from De La Rosa's wrist control and lands an elbow.


The cut above Joe De La Rosa's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe De La Rosa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bob Barker!
