The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Lewis throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side.
Smith tries to bum rush Lewis with a series of wild strikes but Lewis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lewis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.

It looks like Clifford Smith has been cut.
Lewis ducks right into an uppercut from Smith.

Lewis rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smith has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Lewis is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.

Lewis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lewis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Lewis's legs - danger averted.

Smith takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
John Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A solid leg kick lands there for Smith.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good leg kick by Lewis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Smith avoids the head kick by Lewis.
Lewis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith misses with a looping left.

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Lewis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Lewis tries a head kick but it misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Smith.
Lewis lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lewis on the side of the head.

Smith steps in with a hook that catches Lewis right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Smith follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Lewis looks absolutely devastated.

Clifford Smith decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
