The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preston tries for a takedown but Hagan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hagan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Preston tries to kick Hagan off but Hagan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hagan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hagan prevents Preston from standing back up.
Preston tries to roll over but Hagan keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Preston looking for a kimura from the bottom but Hagan passes into side control!
Hagan lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hagan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hagan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Preston wants to get back to his feet.
Hagan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Preston will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Preston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Preston is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hagan connects with a decent elbow.
Hagan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Preston to see if he's OK.

Hagan cracks Preston with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hagan immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Preston is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hagan!
