The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Algo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Algo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jones throws a hook but Algo avoids it easily.
Jones misses the jab.
Algo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Algo persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Algo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Algo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones throws a body punch but Algo moves out of range.
Algo blocks a head kick by Jones.
Algo shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Algo wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

As Jones backs off Algo throws a huge counter combo but Jones manages to avoid it all.
Adam Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Algo misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Dante Algo has been cut.

Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Algo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones misses with a looping right.
Algo shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Algo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Algo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Algo looks winded!
Jones connects with a nice looking jab.

Jones lands a big uppercut and Algo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Algo looks OK. Jones waves Algo back to his feet!

Algo is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Algo's defenses. It connects perfectly with Algo's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
