Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Will Longwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Longwe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to CJ Stone's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Longwe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Stone!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longwe tries a head kick but it misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stone.
Stone in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Stone throws an elbow but Longwe slips to the side and avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes there by Stone.
Stone moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Let's hope that Stone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Stone sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Longwe is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Longwe wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Longwe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Longwe defending against the ground and pound.
Longwe is trying to control Stone's posture but Stone avoids it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Longwe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Longwe is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Longwe slaps away a takedown attempt from Stone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Longwe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Longwe wants it to stay on the feet.
Stone tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Longwe is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stone.
Stone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Longwe throws a leg kick but Stone moved away.
Stone is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Stone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Will Longwe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Stone.
Stone goes for a double leg but Longwe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Longwe continues to drive forward.

Longwe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard.
Longwe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Longwe is one step ahead there.
Longwe wanted to stand there but Stone had control of the position.
Stone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stone thows a huge punch but Longwe dodges it nicely.
Longwe is pressing down on Stone's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Longwe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Longwe lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Longwe's guard.

Stone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Stone is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Longwe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Longwe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stone trying to control the position but Longwe is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

CJ Stone dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Longwe has his takedown stuffed

and Stone holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Longwe tightens his grip and picks Stone up, before dumping him to the ground. Stone manages to land in guard.
Longwe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Longwe from controlling successfully.
Longwe wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position.
Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Longwe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stone circles away.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Longwe as he avoids it easily.

Stone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Longwe sprawls well initially but Stone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
CJ Stone has got the better of the ground game so far.

Longwe looking for submissions off his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stone tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Stone winds up and cracks Longwe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Stone keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Stone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Longwe sees it coming and defends easily.
Longwe slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Stone landing with the ground and pound.
Longwe keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Longwe holds on and takes a little breather.
Longwe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stone on the ground.
Longwe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stone.
Stone trying to control but Longwe is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Longwe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Longwe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Some bone on bone action there as Stone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Stone scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stone working away.
Stone moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Stone wants to control but Longwe is keeping him busy.
Stone is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Longwe's shoulder. That is not cool.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Longwe trying to control but Stone flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Stone trying to control momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

CJ Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Stone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Longwe. No joy for Stone on that attempt.
Longwe throws a wild body kick that Stone sees coming a mile off.

Stone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Longwe did well to prevent Stone getting side control.
Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stone wants to get back to his feet.
Longwe is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Longwe avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longwe wants to improve his position but Stone is controlling well.
Longwe is controlling Stone's trapped leg to prevent Stone from advancing to side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stone connects with a nice short shot to Longwe's temple.

Longwe tries to get to full guard but Stone has control of the leg.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Longwe tries to clinch there but Stone circles away.
Stone is looking to clinch but Longwe is avoiding it.
Longwe throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stone.
Stone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Longwe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Stone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Longwe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stone!
Stone manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Longwe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Stone looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Stone tries to get to full guard but Longwe has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Longwe seems content to control.

Stone trying to control here.
Stone holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Longwe wants to stand but Stone has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stone drives through with a takedown into guard.
Longwe throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Stone wants to control from the top but Longwe keeps moving.
Stone looking to sit in guard and control but Longwe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Longwe won't allow Stone to sweep him here.

Longwe is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stone has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Longwe is looking to defend but Stone has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Longwe! Stone pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Longwe taps out and this one is all over!
