The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos looks for the body kick but King saw that one coming.
Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Santos persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.
Santos on the wrong end of a nice hook.
King throws a body punch but Santos moves out of range.
Santos misses with a hook to the body
and King counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Santos moves away from the strike by King.
King lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
King slaps away a takedown attempt from Santos, before circling back to the center of the mat.

King jabs Santos to the body, keeping him at a distance.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
Santos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Jds Santos has been cut.
Good standup being displayed there by King as he connects with a hook.

King cracks Santos with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. King has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Santos to stand back up!
This has been an exciting period of action!

King lands a big uppercut and Santos crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Santos looks OK. King waves Santos back to his feet!
Jds Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos drops his hands momentarily. King doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Santos staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Santos doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
