Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Mercurious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satan tries to clinch up but Mercurious circles away and keeps his distance.

Satan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mercurious sprawls well initially but Satan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mercurious keeping control of the position.
Satan moves into full mount! Mercurious won't be happy about that!
Mercurious knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Satan on the ground.
Satan wants to control the pace but Mercurious is squirming around nicely.

Satan goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mercurious is on top in guard.

Satan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Satan wants to sweep but no luck.

Satan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mercurious defends well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Satan or perhaps it was just good defense by Mercurious, which made it look bad.

Mercurious fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Satan, pushing him back against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mercurious. Satan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Satan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mercurious circles away.
Satan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Rocky Mercurious has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Satan.

Mercurious clobbers Satan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Satan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mercurious avoids it really well and circles away.

Satan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mercurious's guard.

Mercurious wants to get back to his feet but Satan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Satan drops back looking for a leg! Mercurious is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mercurious manages to kick Satan off! Satan jumps back into Mercurious's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice uppercut lands for Mercurious. That snapped Satan's head back.
Mercurious misses with a body kick.
Satan misses with a takedown attempt - Mercurious sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Satan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mercurious but Mercurious pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mercurious tried to counter with a leg kick but Satan avoided it.

Satan closes the distance and pushes Mercurious back into the cage.
Satan is working for takedown but Mercurious is calmly controlling the position for now.

Mercurious looks to land a right hand but Satan moved out of range.
As Mercurious backs off Satan throws a huge counter combo but Mercurious manages to avoid it all.
Satan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Satan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Satan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mercurious's half guard.
Mercurious wants to improve his position but Satan is controlling well.
Mercurious is refusing to be controlled, as Satan sits in half guard.
Satan is just content to waste time from the top position. Mercurious takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's time! Mercurious's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mercurious throws a hook to the side of Satan's head but Satan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Satan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mercurious was covering up waiting for the punch and Satan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Satan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mercurious swivels though and keeps the full guard.
