Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denver Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Phoenix has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Pierce.
Phoenix stalling against the cage.
Phoenix swings wildly with an uppercut but Pierce uses good head movement to avoid it.
Phoenix makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pierce has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Phoenix is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in the clinch, Phoenix scores with a nice short uppercut.
Phoenix lands a left hand.

It looks like Denver Pierce has been cut.
Stalling in the clinch from Phoenix.
Phoenix lands a hook that snaps the head of Pierce backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Phoenix unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Pierce! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Phoenix is unloading with more strikes now! Pierce drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
