PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brown falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gunn counters with an inside leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Brown closes the distance and pushes Gunn back into the cage.

Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily.
Gunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gunn somewhat.
Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gunn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brown's head.

Gunn has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gunn tries to break free but Brown pushes him back against the cage.

Brown jabs Gunn to the body, keeping him at a distance.

It looks like Seth Gunn has been cut.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crunch! Brown slams his shin into Gunn's torso.
Brown looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Brown circles away.
Brown swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Brown lands with a kick to the temple. Gunn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gunn has hold of Brown's hands but Brown slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Gunn is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brown scores with a couple of nice shots.
Well, if Brown is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Brown thows a huge punch but Gunn dodges it nicely.

Brown in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gunn tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Brown!
