Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Putra Rajasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Putra Rajasa!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Booth clinches.

Rajasa wants the takedown. Booth is fighting it off but Rajasa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Booth's guard against the cage.
Rajasa trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Booth wants to sweep but no luck.
Rajasa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Booth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rajasa's guard.

Booth distracts Rajasa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Booth loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Booth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rajasa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Booth wants to stand but Rajasa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rajasa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Booth manages to get himself to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rajasa uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Putra Rajasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rajasa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Booth defends well and Rajasa ends up having to push Booth into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Booth wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Rajasa looks winded!

Rajasa gets tackled into the cage by Booth. Booth maintains the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Booth.

Booth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Booth closes the distance and clinches.
Booth wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Booth rushes Rajasa and presses him up against the cage.

Booth manages to break the clinch.
Rajasa goes for a double leg but Booth avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Booth continues to drive forward.
Booth seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Rajasa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jose Booth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Putra Rajasa.

and Booth counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rajasa has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've been informed that Rajasa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Rajasa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rajasa steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Booth. That one must have hurt.
Booth throws a nice looking combination but Rajasa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Booth drives through and clinches with Rajasa against the cage.
The referee calls for Booth to work.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Booth can't find room to land a body shot as Rajasa controls the action.
Rajasa tries to pull guard but Booth holds him up against the cage and eventually Rajasa drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Despite the aggression on Rajasa's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Booth checks a leg kick.
Booth seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Booth moves into the clinch.
Rajasa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rajasa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Booth avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Rajasa has Booth pressed against the cage, preventing Booth from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is keeping an eye on Booth - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Booth is looking to control Rajasa's arms but Rajasa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Booth has his back to the cage.

Rajasa is breathing heavily.
Come on Booth - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Rajasa works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Rajasa is looking to advance position but Booth has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Booth scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Booth manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rajasa on his heels. He'll look to pass Rajasa's guard now, I'm sure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Booth catches Rajasa with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
